If you judge people, you have no time to love them

We live in a very superficial society. It is very easy to fall into trap of looking only at surface of people, things and ideas without taking time and effort to dig deeper into them. This is where the adage ‘Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover’ comes from. Literally, you can’t tell quality of contents of book just by looking at materials used to hold it together. A book with plain cover and simple title may be more important, more entertaining or more useful than a book bound in flashier manner. (Take an example of “Sorry You’re Not My Type”. A novel with simple title, simple cover. But it was simply stupindofantabulous. It just not only redefined love but also friendship, dreams, aspiration of group of friends. It conveyed a deep message that trusting someone is good but blind faith leads to darkness. Those who kept judging the book, got nothing, on the other hand the readers learnt a lot of things along with enjoying the novel.)
If you keep judging and putting others down and pointing fingers then you can’t possibly show love to a person, because you are too busy criticizing. Judging others makes you blind, whereas love is illuminating. By judging others, you bind yourself to your own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as you are.
Remember, while you judge a person by outward apperance, that person is silently doing the same to you, even though there’s a 99% chance that in both the cases, the assumptions are wrong.
There’s nothing wrong with enjoying looking at surface of ocean itself, except that when you finally see what goes on underwater, you realize that you’ve been missing the whole point of the ocean. Staying on the surface all the time is like going to a circus and staring at the outside of the tent.
Judging someone is not same as being honest with yourself. When it comes to living as compassionate, non-judgemental human being, the only challenge greater than learnig to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes is learning to walk a lifetime comfortably in your own.
“In Every Smile, There Is A Beauty. In Every Heart, There Is A Love. In Every Human Being, There is A Soul. There Is A Life, There Is Worth And Above All There Is Ability To See All These Things In Everyone.”
So Stop Judging, Appreciate The Beauty Within You, and Start Loving.
