It’s hard to figure out what is the meaning of life. What is it that you want to accomplish in life? As you keep growing, your goals keep evolving. You must have read the quote “Life is more strict than a teacher, A teacher teaches a lesson and takes an exam. But life takes an exam and then teaches a lesson.”
Life is the best teacher, just as it is. It is the toughest teacher. It won’t tolerate slothfulness for long. It’s always throwing some difficult problem your way and then seeing what you will do with it. Life awakens the joy in creative expression and knowledge. The ultimate lesson all of us have to learn is unconditional love, which includes not only others but ourselves as well. No matter what happens, life goes on and we have to go along with it to survive, No matter how many times you fail, you have to pick yourself up and Move on.
In the series How I met your Mother season 8 episode 13, Ted Mosby says that “At that point in my life. I’ve been hurt quite a few times already. But when I saw that text message and found out that Robin was engaged, it was like times a million.” So that’s how precisely it feels to be heart broken.
It is all the pain you had experienced in life time, but the pain will subside one day. It may take a few hours, a few days, a few months, a few years or a few decades. It varies person to person and situation to situation. Heart breaks teaches you the importance of having friends and family by your side. You learn that nobody in this world is perfect, not even you. You eventually learn that no matter how messy it becomes, it’s going to be okay. You start loving yourself again. Break ups bring out the best in you which help you dedicate more time to your hobbies like writing, singing, etc. Heart breaks teach you two ultimate truths about life, one, how vast your longing for love is and how impossible it is to make love safe. Because in the end only 3 things matter, how much you loved, how gently you lived and how gracefully you let go of the things that are not meant for you.
2. Empty Pockets
Empty pocket teaches you a Million things in Life, But full pocket spoils you in a Million ways. It help you realize that the struggle in life is real. Empty pockets help you find the ways through few of the toughest situations in life. Life’s going to be unfair sometimes, but you have to stop complaining and start living with whatever you have got. It helps you realize who you are and what defines you. It helps you realize who are the people that truly love you and not your resources. It helps you realize the importance of money and other things in life. If ever life brings you in such kind of situations, don’t worry, take a deep breath, wander like a boss, eat at bhandara, teach poor kids, play with them, enjoy the prayers in temple and read in public library, watch free street performances and volunteer for a good cause.
The only secret to success is, you have to fail, and you have to fail often, so that you can learn from every single mistake you have made along the way. You ultimately learn that failure is overrated. Here’s the truth, no one actually knows what we’re doing, even Fortune 500 CEO’s and successful entrepreneurs. We’re all just winging it. The difference is that experienced people have learned to mitigate mistakes better than others. Failure gives you strength to face the situations once for and all and not run away from it. Failure teaches us to smile- Not everything is lost when we fail. Its a big world out there. It gives more depth to our understanding of life. One thing you’ll realize is that the marks, results, exams; they don’t define you who you are. It is who you are that defines it.
Cherish where you’ve been.
Preserve what you have.
Embrace who you’ll be.
Failure is part of the process, so don’t be afraid to get lost once in a while.
Sometimes you have to lose yourself to find yourself.
Its that results time of the year. So here’s something for everyone.
Do not let an exam or its result make you feel that your future is doomed. There are all kinds of opportunities out there, to study, to work, to do things you like, to do things that help you grow. Eventually in life, nobody looks back and asks you how many marks you scored in your exams, because it simply doesn’t matter! It is only till the end of school and college life that these marks make some difference to your life, beyond that who you are and who you are capable of becoming defines your life.
Many of the world’s great people are mediocre performers, failures and even school dropouts. What happens till the end of school and college life is one small part of life, what happens after that is when real life really begins. Don’t let exam results define your life, because trust me it doesn’t.
Don’t lose heart if you’ve got a bad result, don’t feel bad if you haven’t performed as well as you wished to, don’t think your future’s over because of some exam result, everything can be fine, everything will be fine, you will end up doing things you could have never imagined. Just trust the people wiser and elder than you, and know that if they can make it in life without marks being on their side, then you can too do the same.
